Cub Scouts are organized into small units called "dens", which in Pack 83
are grouped by boys that are in the same grade. The dens are organized and
named as follows:
| |
Tigers |
|
Grade 1 |
| |
Wolves |
|
Grade 2 |
| |
Bears |
|
Grade 3 |
| |
Webelos I |
|
Grade 4 |
| |
Webelos II |
|
Grade 5 |
Dens are supervised by volunteer "Den Leaders", who are parents who help the boys
pursue age-appropriate activities.
The den is where many young boys first learn about the requirements of
leadership and the give-and-take associated with teamwork.
Once a month, all the dens meet for a Pack
Meeting, which is a highlight for the Cub Scout's entire family. Parents see their boys
interact with their friends, and the parents get the chance to meet
other parents from surrounding areas, and share in their sons' successes and
achievements.
